Regional studies is a comprehensive study of international relations, law, translation, state and local government.

 

The fifth subject at UNT is foreign language (English, German, French).

Majors - foreign language (English, German, French) language (at least 7 points in the UNT/KTA).

Academic degree: Bachelor

 

Graduates of this specialty work:

 

• translators

• specialists in the field of regional public administration in akimats, maslikhats

• specialists of diplomatic services of foreign affairs, international security organizations

• expert consultants on issues of national or regional politics and economy, and international relations.

 

Regionalist

 

• know the language, history, culture, economy and political system of the region / country / group of countries they study

• know the status of international relationships of the region, they study, with other regions, regional policy

• investigate the main stages of development of the region, analyze the current situation, predict development ways of the region

• know how to manage the processes of foreign policy in the region and diplomacy, negotiate, coordinate international programs.

• economy of the studied region

• politics of the countries of the studied region

• culture, psychology, mentality of the countries of the studied region

• history of European and American countries

• history of Asian and African countries

• history of Central Asia countries

• English language

• Chinese language

• Spanish language

• Korean language

• formation of a political and economic elite of the countries of the studied regions

• contemporary issues in international relations and etc.

• departments of foreign and economic relations of government institutions

• analytic centers and research institutes

• international and regional organizations, embassies and cultural centres

• joint ventures, organizations with communications with foreign partners

 

Approximate salary is 1000-2000 $
